Clinical Nutrition

Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. More specifically, it is the science of nutrients and how they are digested, absorbed, transported, metabolized, stored, and eliminated by the body.

The team at Select Health of the Carolinas focuses their treatment(s) on the underlying cause of your chronic condition.
Our treatment(s) would not be complete without addressing the nutritional component of your own body's needs in order to repair and thrive.  Our approach to clinical nutrition is uncomplicated and our patients are given the tools they need to truly understand how the clincial nutrition component helps them have control over their recovery.

A few of the nutritional topics our team will want to discuss with you involve some (but not all) of the following:

  • How to reduce inflammation
  • How to increase blood flow (increases healing rates)
  • Support proper metabolism (which directly impacts weight loss/lifestyle)
  • Support energy and stamina.

We, at Select Health of the Carolinas, take the Science of Nutrition very seriously.
Our team strives to provide you with the most current and accurate information regarding your health as it relates to your recovery.
